Atmospheres 01

A new series I am fleshing out, and really excited to get started on. I've been wanting do this series since I was a very young. I've always been in love with the atmospherics of clouds, light and the volumetric effect of moisture in the air. Obsessed is more like it. I never really had the skill to paint the way I wanted them to look. Nothing was quite good enough, but I think I am getting close to what I want finally.

It was scary to even go anywhere this series because I have thought about it since I was a kid. Hopefully I will be able to do the series justice. 

In this particular example i was trying capture a sort of northern lights effect.
